Russia’s Novatek says delivers first LNG batch to Chili

MOSCOW, Jul 7 (PRIME) -- Novatek Gas & Power, a 100% affiliate of Russian independent gas producer Novatek, has delivered the first batch of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its plant in Trinidad and Tobago to the Chilean port of Quintero, Novatek said in a statement Thursday.

“The delivery of the first batch is an important step for Novatek in entering the international LNG market. After the launch of the Yamal LNG project’s first stage, we will enter the LNG market with our own volumes, and it is very important for us to gain experience on the spot market,” the company said quoting its Commercial Director Lev Feodosyev as saying.
